Privacy Policy

Last updated: 09/10/2026

This policy explains what personal information the League of Shattap websites hold, why, and your rights over it.

1. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS

The League of Shattap websites are run by Aaron Fernandes (“we”, “us”, “our”), who is responsible for your personal information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR). This policy covers leagueofshattap.info and all of its subdomains, including minilcs.leagueofshattap.info and any subdomain added later for another competition or brand.

Contact us about anything in this policy at admin@leagueofshattap.info.

2. INFORMATION WE PUBLISH ABOUT PLAYERS, TEAMS AND STAFF

Our competition sites show tournament results and statistics. For people who take part, that means we publish:

  • Players: in-game name (and any earlier names), team, role, and statistics from their tournament games, such as champions played, kills, deaths, assists and damage.
  • Game data: match results and details of tournament games, collected from Riot Games’ services through Simple Tournament Bot, which runs the tournament lobbies.
  • Teams: team name, tag, logo, roster, results and rankings.
  • Awards and rankings: awards, power rankings and roster-ranking points based on that data.
  • Photos: a player’s photo, only if they or their team send us one.
  • Organisers and moderators: name or nickname, role and photo on the Our Team page, with their agreement.

Why (our lawful basis): taking part in a competition means playing in public tournament games, and publishing results and statistics is part of running it (legitimate interests). We publish photos and staff details with consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We only publish in-game names, never real names, unless you have chosen to use your real name as your in-game name or on the Our Team page.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM VISITORS

  • Server logs: our hosting provider, IONOS, records standard technical details of each visit (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) to keep the websites running and secure. These logs are kept for a short time, then deleted.
  • Messages: if you email us or contact us on Discord, we use what you send only to reply and deal with your request.
  • Accounts: only our organisers and moderators have accounts on the websites, to manage them.

We don’t use analytics or advertising tools, we don’t sell or share your information for marketing, and we don’t send newsletters.

4. COOKIES

The websites don’t use cookies to track visitors. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the websites, to keep them logged in. Some pages remember small display choices in your own browser, and nothing about them is sent to us.

5. CONTENT FROM OTHER SERVICES

Some pages show content from other services, which receive your IP address when your browser loads it:

  • Riot Games (Data Dragon): champion, item and spell images on tournament, team and player pages.
  • Twitch and YouTube: live streams and videos we embed or link to.

Their own privacy policies apply. Links to Discord, Twitch, YouTube and other websites take you to those services, and we aren’t responsible for how they handle your information.

6. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We share personal information only:

  • with our hosting provider (IONOS), who stores the websites for us;
  • when the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.

Information published on the websites (section 2) can be seen by anyone.

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Tournament results and statistics are kept as a permanent record of past competitions. Photos are kept until you ask us to remove them. Emails and messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK GDPR you can ask us, free of charge, to:

  • give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • remove your photo, or remove or anonymise your name on the websites;
  • stop using your information, or object to how we use it.

Email admin@leagueofshattap.info. We’ll reply within one month and may ask you to confirm the request comes from you, for example by messaging us from your in-game or Discord account.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

9. CHILDREN

Players must be at least 16 to take part in our competitions. If you think we hold information about a child under that age, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
